Silent Companion (Pavel Göbl)

"Silent companion" is a folk style absurd tragicomedy, dealing with one of the most serious issues in modern Western civilization - the loss of spiritual identity, its diminishing by empty entertainment... Primarily, the main topic of the film emphasizes a human's desire to overcome loneliness and love. Generally - the film is about a current loss of unifying silent companion (or spirit) in Western civilization, and the attempt to replace it with the media content - or empty entertainment. All these problems lead us to individual loneliness. Is this the loss of ritual power, or the loss of respect to it? May it signify the end of the culture?

Gorila (Pavel Göbl)

Gorila (Pavel Göbl)

An underground, avant-garde film based on the dramatic artwork by René Levínský. Through his film "Gorila", director Pavel Göbl presents an uncompromising, anti-ilusive study of the world. The plot is linguistically lyrized by a lower sociolectic component, to an extent that overcomes all conceivable dimensions. The film is a plenary variation of the theatrical play "HARILA" or "The Most Beautiful Teddies".
